First Christian Church offers many fellowship events.
These are important to the life of the church because they allow us to
build our friendships and strengthen our relationships with each other
as members of the church family. A family not only works together,
but it also relaxes and has fun. So does the church family!
MONTHLY COFFEE HOURS
The first Sunday of the month we have a coffee hour after our morning
worship service. Coffee and cookies (or other light refreshments)
are provided in an informal gathering in the Multi-Purpose Room.
All ages can spend time together visiting with old friends or meeting
new ones. There is a time for refreshments every Sunday following
our evening worship service.
EAT & GREET MISSION LUNCHEONS
Once a month, usually on the third Sunday, we have our "Eat & Greet"
Mission Luncheon. A meal is prepared by members of the church
family; a suggested donation of $3 is asked to cover the cost of the
meal but any donation is accepted. Any profit (after the cost of
the food) is donated to the selected mission of the month (Habitat for
Humanity, Gwinwood Conference Center, Associated Ministries Homeless
Fund, etc.)
FUN NIGHT AT FCC
Usually on the last Saturday night of the month, we have a Fun Night.
The activities vary from month to month and are appropriate for all
ages. These have included game nights (with board games), singing
and instrumental music programs, comedy nights with local stand-up
comedians, volleyball, and an "Improv Night". The main goal of Fun
Night at FCC is to have FUN, whether you are a single or married, older
or younger!!!
FAITH COMMUNITY CAMP
During the weekend closest to the Fourth of July, we have our Faith
Community Camp at the Gwinwood Conference Campgrounds in Lacey.
All ages meet for the weekend and share in meals, study, worship,
swimming and boating, nightly campfires, and other fun activities.
This has been an on-going fellowship event for the church since the
1970's and is always enjoyable for everyone who attends, no matter what
their age may be.
