At First Christian Church, we consider Christian Education one of the most important ministries we can offer.  A caring and dedicated staff teaches classes and leads special programs throughout the year.  The purpose of Christian Education is to provide the opportunity for growing in our knowledge of the Bible, applying what we learn to everyday life, and other spiritual matters.

SUNDAY SCHOOL - 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings
The cornerstone of our Christian Education is the Sunday School program which offers classes for children and adults alike.  We are blessed with a teachers who lead all ages in studies to generate biblical literacy, meaningful discussions, and spiritual growth.  The classes meet in the following locations on Sunday mornings:

     *  Children's Classes (preschool through fourth grade) - lower level of the Education Building

     *  Teens Class (sixth through twelfth grade) - lower level of the Education Building 

     *  Foundation Class (younger adults) - upper level of the Education Building

     *  Builders Class (adults) - upper level of the Education Building

     *  Quest Class (adults) - upper level of the Education Building

     *  Seekers Class (adults) - Chapel 

     *  Seminar Class (senior adults) - Stone Parlor 


FAITH ON FILM - 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday evenings of the month
"Faith on Film" is held in the Stone Parlor.  A light meal is shared at 6:00 p.m. before the movie which begins at 6:30 p.m.  The movies have ranged from comedy to drama, light-weight to more serious issues, and always lead to discussions of faith, morality, spirituality, and everyday life.  Led by volunteers, this is a study for all ages of adults.
CHILDREN'S CHURCH - during 11:00 a.m. worship on Sunday mornings
Every week, during our morning worship service, we offer a time for Children's Church.  The children have a time at the start of our service where they are called forward to participate in a children's message and then can leave the sanctuary for a special time of learning.  Those children who are preschool through fourth grade are invited to attend our Children's Church.
